Aftercare Extension Advice
Each client will receive a full, in detail aftercare guide sheet on their chosen fitting method, once fitting is completed.
Do not wash your hair for 3-4 days after the extensions are fitted. Your new hair is clean and your hair natural should be fresh and ready before fitting, so there is no need to put any stress on your fitting method.
Always brush out any knots before you wash your hair or sleep. Always start from the bottom (tip) and work your way up slowly (to the root).
Wash your hair every 3 days, NOT every day as you will lose more strand/s/fitting methods and dry the hair out quicker. The tracks only need washing once a week, so if you can hold off washing it, the extensions will last longer.
When shampooing your new hair, wash you scalp with the tips of your fingers to avoide damage to the tracks and also to keep the tracks free from bacteria.
Only condition the mid length to the ends of your new & natural hair as any conditioner on the roots may cause slippage.
You must either braid your hair or use a soft scrunchie at night to prevent tangles and friction, this is mainly reccomended at night or during exercise.
Never sleep with wet extensions!!!
Always use a good heat protection spray when blow drying or styling.
Use a soft bristle brush with no "nobbly" bits on the end.
You can heat and style your new hair as you would normally do, using curling tongs and hair straighteners will cause no damage to 100% human or remy hair.
General Wear - Do not apply unnecessary tension to the bond and root areas by tying ponytails too tight or high as the fitting method will loosen.
Excessive tension on individual micro bead/loop or micro loop weft will cause bold patches
so hold the fitting when brushing and be gentle.
If you are considering colouring you have, whilst you have your extensions in, please contact me for more information. Hair loss and damage to your natural hair may be caused through colouring if not done correctly.
Please note, excessive pulling or picking of extensions may result in extensions coming out and your own hair breaking off. It is very common to lose strands of hair when brushing and you can also expect to lose some of the extensions.
